Tangle Teezer started building a public profile on Dragon’s Den, with their innovative solution to hair detangling. They quickly gained a cult following among beauty aficionados and celebrities, expanding rapidly to a turnover of close to £50 million. The award-winning brand wanted to build on their success and premiumise the brand as they began to scale rapidly.

Tangle Teezer needed a flexible digital framework that would keep up with their fast-paced editorial output, partnerships strategy and PR initiatives. This was in preparation for an aggressive international expansion prioritising digital to preserve margins and build equity.

The Future of Online Shopping

Launching the site on Magento 2, we customised it with a number of bespoke modules and integrations, ranging from Sage and Dynamics ERP, through to more front-end, editorially focused extensions. We built a unique customisation engine that allows users to mix and match colours or personalise their brush with photos, an exclusive feature of tangleteezer.com

The brand has reaped the benefits of the upgraded site, with 66% revenue growth online. The site was a finalist for the “Best Health & Beauty” category at the eCommerce Awards 2017.
